Kreative Assembly
My college life was briefly disrupted by unrecorded grades, which forced me to extend my studies by a year and enroll in the Kampus Merdeka program specifically, an Independent Study at an AI e-learning company in Bandung. There, I learned how AI works and gained experience in programming beyond websites, including Python and Go. Once all my grades were finalized, I graduated in October 2023.
Before graduating, the agency where my former Rentrips.id teammate worked contacted me, saying they urgently needed a Web Developer. Since I was waiting for my graduation date, I decided to accept the offer. The agency sent me a job test: build a website within two days. I completed it in just two hours, using Next.js and deploying it to Vercel. After seeing that I could deliver the project successfully, they hired me as a Fullstack Developer. The agency was called Kreative Assembly.
There, I worked on a wide range of projects, mostly building websites for clients in Singapore, but also for many large companies in Indonesia. While I personally preferred building websites from scratch with code, the agency standard was WordPress chosen for its security, ease of maintenance, and client friendliness. Almost every WordPressproject I worked on involved extensive customization, including developing custom plugins and themes.
I handled numerous projects, which can be seen on the Work page under the Kreative Assembly portfolio. One of the most challenging was Androids in Boots, due to its unusual animations and extreme optimization requirements. Another was Forvita, a margarine brand in Indonesia, which required layout adjustments to accommodate various complex animations. I can also mention the Mini Cooper email campaign, which had a tight deadline and carried significant responsibility, as the promotional email could potentially be sent to thousands of recipients.
After a year and a half, I felt I had spent enough time living, studying, and working in Bali. I wanted a fresh environment in Jakarta, where I could push my potential even further with greater challenges. I bid farewell to the Kreative Assembly with the best of feelings.
